Title: Lee Jordan. 20 Moments.
Rating: R
Word Count: 1160
Warnings: DH-Spoilers, Slash.
Summary: Just 20 random moments.
A/N: not beta-ed, sorry for that.
Disclaimer: Proudly stole every character.
1. Lee loves rain. Cold rain, summer rain, pouring rain, continuous rain, drizzle. There is something magical about water coming down from the clouds. He can still remember one time, when he was 4 years old, standing in the garden for 2 hours, looking up into the sky, rain washing over him. So far, this was the second best moment of his life.
2. He met Fred and George on the Hogwarts Express when he was 11 years old. They fit. Fred, full of ideas, always restless, thinking that nothing in life is out of reach; George, mischievous genius, making almost everything work; Lee, strategical thinker and voice of reason. All three of them funny, charming and loyal.
3. Lee has always been able to tell George and Fred apart. Right from the start. He doesn't even know why. It's just that one of them looked like Fred, and one looked like George. He couldn't understand that most people can't see it.
4. The first time he commentated a Quidditch match, was a very different experience for him. He normally is relaxed and laid back, insults or threats don't usually affect him. He is a charmer by nature, easygoing, and mischievous. On the Quidditch Pitch his blood boiled. He was yelling, and shouting, and cheering. He knew immediately, that he wanted to commentate every single match until he'd leave school.
5. Lee kissed a girl for the first time when he was 12. It was a pretty Hufflepuff and it was fantastic. Lee was 15 when he kissed a boy for the first time. It was a Ravenclaw with hands as big as his brain and it was spectacular. Lee really likes kissing.
6. From his first day at Hogwarts, when he was 11, until the final battle, Lee cried exactly three times: In his first year, after his first potion class with Professor Snape; in his 3rd year, after some Slytherins beat the crap out of him because of a prank; and in his 7th year, when Fred and George went off to their joke shop adventure and left him behind to deal with Umbridge. He can't count the times he cried since the battle.
7. A 7th year Slytherin girl snogged him silly in a broom closet after the Yule Ball. He has no idea how this happened and why he didn't stop it. In retrospect, it was pretty good.
8. A series of unfortunate events in 4th year (all of them initiated by Fred and George) ended in the girls' bathroom with Lee wearing only pink knickers.
9. One morning, Lee woke up with a hangover that could kill a whole village and a tattoo on his left hip. He has no idea how and where he got it, but really likes it. It's a dragon, body and tail in the shape of a lying number 8. The symbol for infinity.
10. The idea of Potterwatch was the result of two bottles of Firewhiskey and a night together with an old friend, who works for the WWN. It took 3 weeks to gather the equipment, find the first broadcasting location, and contact the right people. He went away in the middle of the night, leaving only a note for his parents. It was a reckless, dangerous thing to do. He never regretted anything less.
11. When Lee's parents saw him for the first time after the battle, there were only accusations. They had been worried, he had hurt them, they were disappointed.
12. Not one of the happiest moments of his life, but one he will always remember and treasure, was just before the final battle. The old team was complete, every single one of them was there, ready to defend their school. Oliver, Katie, Angelina, Alicia, Fred, George and of course the seeker, who was again about to score. Though Lee never flew with them, he has always been one of them. As long as they were there, he could face the fight. Should he die next to them, so be it.
13. Lee was seriously injured by Yaxley during the final battle. His right hand was cut open by dark magic and will probably never again be the way it was. He has problems with gripping and has to relearn all the wand movements with his clumsy left hand. So what? People died for fuck's sake.
14. When Fred died, Lee's heart broke twice. For Fred and George equally. Though unlike others, he never doubted that George would survive this. After all he is a Weasley, and Lee never met a Weasley who wasn't a fighter.
15. Lee attended just one funeral after the war. He wanted to be there for his best friend, but not the one they buried. He can't understand the importance of funerals. He firmly believes, that people are defined by their spirit, their soul. A corpse is just a leftover. There have always been other ways to say goodbye to the people he loved and lost.
16. Falling in love with George was easy. They had been best mates forever, living together since the end of the war, working together since reopening the shop. Lee loved every freckle, every word, every accidental touch. He loved how George smelled, how he looked, how very George he was. Loving George was easy. Not knowing if Fred approved was hard. Not acting was a solution.
17. "You, Jordan, are a fucking wimp." Lee was almost scared when George cornered him in the storeroom and stared into his eyes with frightening intensity. Back against the wall, George's hands on either side of his head, no escape. The first kiss was sweet and tentative. The second kiss was passionate and forceful. The third kiss made them rub against each other until both of them came, still fully clothed. Lee could hear a faint voice cheering in the back of his mind. A voice he once knew very well.
18. After Lee and George had made love for the first time, both of them cried and neither talked about it.
19. When they went to The Burrow to tell George's family about 'them', Lee thought he was prepared for every possible reaction. Disappointment, rejection, acceptance. He was definitely not prepared for the eruption of pure joy, that followed their announcement. He was not prepared for a bone crushing hug from Mrs. Weasley, a hearty handshake from Mr. Weasley, being soundly kissed by Ginny and Hermione and patted on the back from every brother. He also wasn't prepared for the big brother talk from Bill and Charlie.
20. Every year on Fred's and George's birthday, they went to the cemetery. Laughing and crying and laughing. Celebrating a birthday that would never be as cheerful as it once was, that would always hurt. Celebrating a live, that would never be as cheerful as it should be, but always bitter-sweet. Celebrating their love, which would get them through it all. In other words: They were getting pissed as hell, snogging on Fred's grave, because they just knew it would make him laugh.
